The digitization of hospitals continues to advance, but many hospitals are in a precarious situation: They recognize the opportunities of increasing digitization, but the resources are often lacking to integrate innovative IT solutions into everyday clinical practice. The same or even better medical performance has to be provided in ever shorter times with a simultaneously increasing bureaucracy with continually more extensive documentation requirements. On the other hand, the expectations of the patients rose noticeably during this time. Added to this are the interdisciplinary and increasingly also the intersectoral treatment of patients, which are increasingly the focus of clinical treatment. In all of these increasing workloads for physicians / nurses, it is important not to lose sight of relevant clinical situations that require a quick or even immediate medical decision.
