Our school has been called Modersohn Primary School since 1993. It was named after the painter Otto Modersohn. You can find us between Ostkreuz and Warschauer Straße, not far from the Modersohn Bridge. Colorful, lively, diverse - learn relaxed! The Modersohn-GS has been completely renovated and expanded since 2000. Interior equipment - smartboards in every room; Computer room; Learning workshop; Specialist rooms for science, art, music, life studies, psychomotor skills; Multipurpose room for theater, dance, film; Band room; Wood workshop; Group rooms for the leisure area Gym - modern hall with 50m running track and jump pit outside Cafeteria - spacious, friendly, appealing (completion 2015) School yard - green; diverse climbing possibilities, table tennis table, basketball area; Pavilion; Resting places in the rear area 4th floor - bright, spacious extension (completion 2011) for grades 1/2 with class and function rooms (e.g. building, reading and Lego room) Discover, decide, try - learn to live! 26 committed teachers and 18 educators provide our 440 students with the best possible conditions for an eventful coexistence and learning together. The lessons are given according to the 45-minute model. The school program is our binding working basis. According to their inclinations, interests and special needs, the students choose their additional courses from our diverse courses. The focus of our courses is on the arts. The musical principles are concentrated in the fine arts, philosophy, music, sport and drama with the aim of allowing the entire acquisition of knowledge to be based on sensual experience and living knowledge. (And courses such as school farm, computer, wood workshop are part of the offer.) Project weeks, exhibitions, readings, theater performances as well as bazaars and festivals are forms of the musical thought we practice. We are a half-day elementary school with open all-day operation (OGB).
